A Refreshing Tasty Energetic Fresh Strawberry Juice

There's nothing quite as refreshing as a glass of homemade strawberry juice, especially during the warm summer months. This delightful drink is not only packed with the sweet, tangy flavor of fresh strawberries but also loaded with vitamins and antioxidants.

Step by step let's dive into the recipe!

Fresh Strawberry Juice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and washed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar or honey (optional, to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for a tangy flavor)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Strawberries:

  • Rinse the strawberries under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
  • Hull the strawberries by removing the green leafy tops and any white core. You can do this with a small knife or a strawberry huller.

Blend the Strawberries:

  • Place the hulled strawberries in a blender.
  • Add the water to the blender. This helps to thin out the juice and makes blending easier.

Sweeten the Juice (Optional):

  • If you prefer a sweeter juice, add sugar or honey to the blender. Start with 1 tablespoon and adjust to taste.
  • Add the lemon juice if you want a tangy kick to balance the sweetness of the strawberries.

Blend Until Smooth:

  • Blend the strawberries, water, and sweetener on high speed until smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  • If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more water until you reach your desired consistency.

Strain the Juice (Optional):

  • For a smoother juice, pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl or pitcher. Use a spoon to press the mixture and extract as much juice as possible.
  • If you prefer a thicker juice with pulp, you can skip this step.

Serve:

  • Pour the strawberry juice into glasses over ice cubes if desired.
  • Garnish with a fresh strawberry or a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass for an attractive presentation.

Enjoy:

Serve immediately while fresh and chilled and drink slowly.

Tips and Variations:

Minty Fresh: Add a few fresh mint leaves to the blender to get a refreshing twist.

Berry Mix: Combine strawberries with other berries like blueberries or raspberries for a mixed berry juice.

Coconut Water: Replace the water with coconut water for added flavor and hydration benefits and it will give you a good vibe.

Sparkling Juice: For a fizzy version, mix the strawberry juice with sparkling water or club soda just before serving.

Frozen Strawberries: If fresh strawberries are not available, you can use frozen strawberries. Thaw them slightly before blending, but make sure that strawberries are in good condition.
