How to Cook Shrimp Scampi: A Flavorful and Easy Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb of large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons of olive oil

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1/2 cup of white wine

1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley

4 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Grated zest of 1 lemon


Instructions

Step 1: Season the Shrimp Start by seasoning the shrimp with salt and pepper. Make sure each shrimp is evenly coated.


Step 2: Sauté the Shrimp Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2 minutes per side. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.




Step 3: Prepare the Sauce In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until it’s fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Add the white wine and lemon juice, and let the mixture simmer until it’s reduced by half.


Step 4: Add the Butter and Shrimp Reduce the heat to low and stir in the butter until it’s melted and the sauce is creamy. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the sauce to coat.


Step 5: Garnish and Serve Sprinkle the shrimp with the chopped parsley and lemon zest. Give everything a final stir, then transfer the shrimp scampi to a serving dish.
