An amazing Misti Doi / Sweet Yogurt Recipe Guide Step by Step - How Villagers Can Make it at Home
Ingredients:
1 liter full-fat milk 🥛
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons plain yogurt (as a starter)
Instructions:-
Boil the Milk: In a heavy-bottomed pan, bring the milk to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.
Add Sugar: Once the milk boils, add sugar and continue to stir until it dissolves completely. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Cool the Mixture: Allow the sweetened milk to cool until it is just warm to the touch.
Add Yogurt Starter: Add two tablespoons of plain yogurt to the warm milk. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
Set for Fermentation: Pour the mixture into earthen or clay pots. Cover and let it sit undisturbed in a warm place for 6-8 hours, or until set.
Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the Mishti Doi for a few hours before serving. Enjoy the creamy sweetness of this Bengali delicacy.
